Jason Hillyard is Director of Bluetooth Products and Technology at Synaptics Incorporated, where he is responsible for product marketing activities related to Bluetooth technology. Previously, Jason was VP of Business Development at Packetcraft, where he used his deep experience in Bluetooth and embedded systems to identify new product and market opportunities. During his decades-long career in the wireless industry he’s had roles as a software engineer, engineering director, and founder of his own successful startup. Jason is a regular participant in Bluetooth SIG working groups and was a contributor to multiple Bluetooth specifications. Jason is also listed as an inventor on 18 patents in the field of wireless communications. During his career, Jason has worked for large companies such as Arm, Broadcom, and Texas Instruments, as well as multiple wireless startups. Jason holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
