A. Introduction
===============
This is the R11.5 M1 product release, the second release of 11.5 driver.
It has been put through our full system tests and is suitable for deployment
to end-users.
DisplayLink software release 11.5 delivers:
- New features for DL-7xxx series
- General stability updates and bug fixes
This release is for Windows 10 and 11 only.
Older releases are available from Synaptics website:

The DL-3000, DL-4000 (where applicable) and DL-5000 series plus the
associated software, is tested to meet the following compliances at the time
of release:
- USB 2.0 protocol
- DisplayPort (source 1.2)
- DisplayPort ++
- HDCP 1.x over DP
- HDCP 1.x over HDMI
- HDCP 1.x over DVI
- HDMI (source 1.4)
The DL-6000, DL-7000 series plus the associated software, is tested to meet the following
compliances at the time of release:
- USB 2.0 protocol
- USB 3.2 protocol
- DisplayPort (source 1.4)
- DisplayPort ++
- HDCP 1.x over DP
- HDCP 1.x over HDMI
- HDMI (source 1.4, 2.0)

This software release contains an embedded firmware image.
DL-1000/DL-3000/DL-4100/DL-5000/DL-6000/DL-7000 devices will be automatically updated
with this firmware upon connection.

- DL-7xxx: Splash screen remains on a screen after PC reboot (VIFR-5185)
- DL-7xxx: LAN speed may drop occasionally from 2.5G to 100M (VIFR-5048)
- DisplayLink driver could crash on USB unplug (VIFR-5089)

- Incorrect color profile in some reduced range modes on HDMI display. (VIFR-4094)
- DL-7xxx series: incorrectly offer 4Kp120 mode on HDMI. (VIFR-4619)
- DL-7xxx series: 4Kp120 modes are not available on DP. (VIFR-4602)
- Occasionally, DisplayLink display remains black after resume from sleep or hibernation. (VIFR-4364)

I. Known Issues and Limitations
===============================
System behaviour with DisplayLink attached screens has been well tested.
Testing covers plug/unplug, mode changes, playing video, hibernate,
sleep/standby, multiple users, different user rights, attached screen as
primary screen, attached screen as only screen, and other aspects.
- Devices with mass storage or auto-install are not supported by Windows
10 UMDF USB driver DisplayLink uses (21959)
- Windows 10 Anniversary Update sets the wrong preferred mode 9124025
