A. Introduction
===============
This is the R11.3 M0 product release, the first release of 11.3 driver.
It has been put through our full system tests and is suitable for deployment
to end-users.
DisplayLink software release 11.3 delivers:
- New features for DL-7xxx series
- EXE installer now supports Arm64 platforms
- General stability updates and bug fixes
This release is for Windows 10 and 11 only.

The DL-3000, DL-4000 (where applicable) and DL-5000 series plus the
associated software, is tested to meet the following compliances at the time
of release:
- USB 2.0 protocol
- DisplayPort (source 1.2)
- DisplayPort ++
- HDCP 1.x over DP
- HDCP 1.x over HDMI
- HDCP 1.x over DVI
- HDMI (source 1.4)
The DL-6000 series plus the associated software, is tested to meet the following
compliances at the time of release:
- USB 2.0 protocol
- USB 3.2 protocol
- DisplayPort (source 1.4)
- DisplayPort ++
- HDCP 1.x over DP
- HDCP 1.x over HDMI
- HDMI (source 1.4, 2.0)

A1. Important Notes about DL-1000/DL-3000/DL-4100/DL-5000/DL-6000/DL-7000 Firmware

This software release contains an embedded firmware image.
DL-1000/DL-3000/DL-4100/DL-5000/DL-6000/DL-7000 devices will be automatically updated
with this firmware upon connection.

- Registry key MAC Address Override settings was removed after a driver upgrade (VIFR-3082)

- DL-41xx series: Boot splash screen not visible if DisplayLink screen connected via USB 2.0. (VIFR-3039, VIFR-3135)
- DL-6xxx series: Improved blanking of monitors on USB disconnect (VIFR-2967)
- DL-6xxx series: Monitor may stay blank screen after PC resume from sleep. (VIFR-3518, VIFR-3500)
- DL-3xxx/DL-5xxx series: some monitors may remain blank if 2560x1440 video mode selected. (VIFR-2944)

I. Known Issues and Limitations
===============================
System behaviour with DisplayLink attached screens has been well tested.
Testing covers plug/unplug, mode changes, playing video, hibernate,
sleep/standby, multiple users, different user rights, attached screen as
primary screen, attached screen as only screen, and other aspects.
- Devices with mass storage or auto-install are not supported by Windows
10 UMDF USB driver DisplayLink uses (21959)
- Windows 10 Anniversary Update sets the wrong preferred mode 9124025
