Synaptics recently acquired the Video Display Operations (VDO) division of IDT, adding highly experienced analog and mixed signal talent to its engineering team, and adding key display technologies to its portfolio, including patents and other intellectual property. The acquisition underscores Synaptics’ commitment to leadership in the emerging Large Touch Screen (LTS) market segment for notebooks and tablets and will be part of the Smart Display Division.
