Synaptics' capacitive interface enhances digital multimedia features for Pantech's IM-U160
SANTA CLARA, Calif. January 22, 2007 - Synaptics Incorporated (NASDAQ: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications and entertainment devices, today announced that Pantech is using Synaptics’ MobileTouch™ technology in the IM-U160 mobile phone.
The Pantech IM-U160 mobile phone features capacitive buttons from Synaptics that allow users to navigate quickly and easily through the multimedia-on-demand (MOD) digital content and features such as broadcast television. In addition, Pantech implemented a unique touch key vibration effect that provides tactile feedback to the user when the capacitive button is touched.

The phone is currently available in Korea through major wireless operators, SK Telecom, KTF, and LG Telecom.
